I bought this car in 1967 for 700.00. Sorry you can't see all of it. This picture was the last picture on the roll of film and the brown on the right side is the tape that held the film for developing.
The rest of the pictures are of my
Sprint now. Click on any picture to enlarge

I bought my  Falcon Sprint in 1967 for 700.00. It served me well until I traded it for a 1971 Mercury Cougar convertible in 71. The Cougar was a Boss 351 car with a 4 Speed transmission. I will talk more about that car later.
The Sprint has a 220 HP 289 engine and not the original 260 engine it came with.
A C-4 some had been added some where  where along the way. I have since swapped the C-4 for a Ford toploader so it is now the same as  before..
With summer starting to roll around, I thought it would be a good idea to install air conditioning. I found an original evaporator unit to keep the original look of the car and installed the remainder of the A/C components with new modern parts. I used a Sandin compressor and a condenser compatible with
R-134. The unit cools extremely well.

In mid 1963 Ford came out with the 1963 1/2 Fords. The 63 1/2 Fords were the Fastback or slant roof Fords. Along with the slant roof Fords came the slant roof Falcons. The 63 1/2 model year saw the first convertible in the Falcon line. It was available in both the Sprint and Futura model, as was the two door hard top. The Sprint model was a sportier version than the Futura, and actually a prelude to the Mustang. The Mustang came on the scene in 1964 1/2. By 1965 the Mustang had took off and only a handful of Sprints were built with 65 being the last year for the Sprint model.
When I joined the Air Force I was driving a Falcon. I owned a red 1961 Sport Futura. I guess the Sport Futura was where I developed my love for Falcons. That little six cylinder, three speed manual took me many trouble free miles. It got great gas mileage, and took all  the punishment I could give it. As you well know, young people aren't the best at keeping a car up and keeping the oil changed. It seemed the little car was indestructible.
My 61 Sport Futura. A really cute car. I would like to have that car now with a tricked out 302
