I did most of the work on this truck with the exception of the installation of the front clip and the paint and body work. I built the engine, made all the mods to make things fit, including the wiring and installation of the fuel tank. Oh yes, I did the bed too, I did not buy the pre cut oak boards, I bought white oak boards from a local hard wood dealer and cut, notched, grooved and painted each and every one of them. If you have questions about any of the modifications, please feel free to e-mail me and I will explain to you in detail how I did it. |

| Little Ole Lady Story | |||||||||||||||
| When I am in Texas I live near Pasadena. I cruise the streets in my 56 F 100 a lot. I have gained a reputation of sorts in the Pasadena area. A few years ago I printed some cards up with a picture of my 56 on them and a caption saying "YOU HAVE JUST BEEN BEAT BY THE LITTLE OLE LADY FROM PASADENA." When I street race, I give these cards out when I win. If I loose I sure as heck keep them safely in my purse. After giving out a few to unsuspecting guys thinking that I was driving my sons truck to the grocery store, I am now known by most of the street rodders in the area. They all refer to me as the Little Ole Lady from Pasadena.
I walked in the local Ford dealer parts department one day to buy something and two young boys, probably in their late teens, or early twenties were standing there arguing with Craig the parts counterman. As I walked up Craig told the two boys, "ask her, she will tell you" I had no idea what they were talking about but I watched as the boys shoved over a small box containing a part, and saying nothing. I opened the box and it contained a clutch pilot bushing. It was the needle bearing type and the boys were buying it for their Mustang. I spoke up and said. "You don't want this thing, you want the bronze type bushing, it is much better. At that time Craig spoke up and said "What have I been trying to tell you guys for the last thirty minutes." With a totally surprised look one of the boys ask Craig. "Who is she." Craig said, you don't know her? She is the little old lady from Pasadena." The kids jaw dropped and said "your her." |
