Ranger registry

As in most limited production automobiles and trucks there is a registry, as far as I know there is not one for the Ranger, so it is my desire to start one. If you are an owner of a Ranger please contact me so I can add your truck to the registry. All that is required is that your truck be an original Ranger that was made by ford Motor Company and can be documented as such. I do not care if you have modified your truck by changing color or making other modifications as lone as it was a Ranger when it left the factory. If you have added bucket seats to a regular F 100 this does not make your truck a true Ranger, so no tribute trucks please.

How do I know if the truck is an original Ranger? When you bought your truck if had any of the Ranger specific items as mentioned in the Ranger intro at the top of the page, you can check the body code on the Warranty plate in the door. The body code is the fourth set of numbers from the right on the second line of the warranty plate. It will have something like F81 or G81. The Alpha is the trim code and the 81 is the body code meaning your truck is a conventional cab of that era. We are concerned here with the alpha portion of the code.

Codes for 1965 are:
F=Red crinkle all vinyl
G=Black crinkle all vinyl
H=Palomino crinkle all vinyl

Codes of 1966 are:
T=Black crinkle vinyl and black rosette pattern vinyl
U=Parchment crinkle vinyl and rosette pattern vinyl
V=Red crinkle vinyl and rosette pattern vinyl.

If you have determined that your truck is a true Ranger send me a photo of the Warranty plate and a picture of your truck along with your name and e-mail address and I will post the picture of your truck on the Registry page. You will be given credit as the owner of the truck and your e-mail address will remain confidential.
