IMMIGRATION: America is a nation of immigrants, and unless we are native Americans our ancestors traveled here in search of a better life. We as a country encourage legal immigration, what we do not support, however, is illegal immigration. Illegal immigration has been directly tied to increases in crime, especially in some border cities. Illegal immigration is increasing population and running our country's resources thin, including social security, welfare and health care. Voter fraud from illegals is also a grave concern, especially in states like Texas, Florida and California. We will never forget the disaster of September 11th. Many of the hijackers were both illegal and possessed valid Virginia driver's licenses. This is getting out of control, and Americans need to rise up and take our country back. Over 10 million illegal immigrants are estimated to live in the United States. Illegal immigration is not a victimless crime. Our borders are out of control, thousands of illegals cross every week something has to be done now. It is absolutely imparitive that we get control of our borders now.
TAXES: Taxes in this country are out of control. A progressive tax system does nothing more than punish success and reward underachievement. I guess the best way to explain this is the bigger the car, the more gas it uses, the bigger the government, the more taxes it consumes, or more precisely the more it waste. The hard working people of this country deserve to keep more of the money they earn. Cutting taxes creates a double whammy. First, it allows the American people to keep more of their own money. Second, it demands more fiscal responsibility in Washington. The less money the government has to waste, the less it will waste. A properly managed budget nets exponentially more wealth for the American people in all levels of our society.
SOCIAL SECURITY: The government does not trust the American people with their own money. This poorly managed and close to bankrupt government program we know as social security is an embarrassment. Trusting our current government with our money is like leaving your 2 year old son home alone, assuming that he will take care of himself. It won't happen. We need to be able to manage our own money. Even the most conservative estimate returns more than impressive benefits to privatizing social security. We need our retirement savings in our hands, not the government's. The American people deserve a way out. The ratio to those paying in and those receiving is growing more disproportionate. As medicine advances and people live longer, more benefits will need to be paid for a longer period of time. That means the burden placed on workers by an already heavy social security tax will increase. This must stop.
WELFARE: The concept of welfare is a fair one, that is, those who need help should have it provided to them. However, welfare has become more of a life style than an encouraging kick in the rear. Welfare benefits have become so great that it provides the recipient absolutely no incentive to find work. In fact, welfare benefits surpass the benefits provided by some full time jobs. Let us cut the purse strings to many of these people and let them become productive working citizens. All Americans who earn a salary and pay taxes should demand control over where their tax money is spent. This nation's government should protect us from foreign threats and ensure our national security. Their job should not be to redistribute our country's wealth.
